Marieke Eyskoot (1977) is sustainable fashion and lifestyle expert. She puts contemporary, conscious living on the map. Marieke is author of well-received modern handbook This is a Good Guide - for a sustainable lifestyle (25.000 copies worldwide), filled with positive and practical tips regarding fashion, beauty, food, home, work and travel. Proving that stylish and sustainable go together very well, the guide not only offers the right addresses, fab labels, great places, surprising facts and handy solutions, but also insights into key issues such as body image and commercialisation, white privilege and diversity, feminism and equal rights, and much more.
Marieke is also a sought-after speaker, presenter and consultant (for amongst others TEDx, Amsterdam Fashion Week, the Dutch Ministries of Economic and Foreign Affairs, Fairtrade International, PwC and Friends of the Earth), and co-founder of international fair fashion trade show MINT. With over 15 years of experience, Marieke has an extensive global ethical fashion and lifestyle network. As part of the Clean Clothes Campaign (for better working conditions in the garment industry), she worked in countries such as Bangladesh, Thailand and Turkey, and she is known for bringing several leading international sustainable brands to the Benelux.
